Get ready for another year of recycled jokes.

The Nebraska Breakfast is a weekly gathering of Cornhuskers in the buffet area of the Dirksen Senate Office building basement.

It’s a popular event for Nebraska lobbyists, school groups and anyone else who is out visiting the nation’s capital.

It’s also a good chance for World-Herald reporters to pick up quotes from members of the state’s congressional delegation, who take turns running the show.

The official program runs from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., although the eating and socializing are often underway by 7:30 a.m.

The breakfasts are only held when both chambers are in session. The delegation on Tuesday announced the dates for 2013, so mark your calendars:
