As Congress returns today to start it’s lame duck session, the pundits are examining what last week’s election results mean for a wide array of policy areas, from the budget deficit to defense.

But in a reminder that everyone has their own pet policy concerns, we noticed an item in the Stogie Guys newsletter highlighting the election’s impact on legislation that would bar the FDA from regulating premium cigars.
The item notes that they are losing a co-sponsor – retiring Sen. Ben Nelson.
The Nebraska Democrat has been known to enjoy a good cigar.
